A massive Thank you

On Sunday 7 of us competed our first ever Triathlon For Luca, it was fantastic event and everyone completed the tri in under one hour thirty minutes which was a great personal achievement for all, supported by friends and family cheering us on including the main man Luca, as well as Sian Mo and Zack who we were thrilled to have there supporting us.
We would just like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported us over the months, family and friends, new and old, coaches at David Lloyd, Andy and Sarah you have been fantastic very patient and supportive.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who donated we raised £3960.00 which is awesome a target we could only have wished for.

Stepping up the fitness !!!!!

Wow what a week dont think any of us have touched base.

So the girls have been enduring their second week of bootcamp and PT, Lifting weights beyond our capability, and strengthening our core all in the belief that it will help us on the big day, it had better !!!!

Running has been the main focus for the majority of us this week, for me its the case of save the worst for last ......
the weather has once again not been on our side so we are all finding it difficult to find time to go out on the bikes, lets hope it improves this week.

The competition between the lads is growing, its actually quite funny if you could hear the good banter between them.  Matt has been sussing out the competition between the lads, but beware Matt us girls might just sneak up on you he he .......

Two of the lads went off swimming yesterday bless !!! sharing their techniques in the pool would love to have been a little fly on the wall to hear them

The big event is three weeks today, and already we have received a huge response from family and friends, donating and offering words of encouragement.
Currently we have raised just over £2200.00, which is AWESOME !!! however we would love to raise more

So this is our plea to you.....

As you can probably tell I am not very good with words, so I will just speak from the heart.......

When we started this event honestly none of us had a clue what we were doing, however we were all agreed that we wanted to raise as much money as we could for one amazing little boy Luca.

Each one of us entering the event has young children who we adore and protect with all our might, however I guess Luca hits home that no matter how much you love and protect your child some things are simply beyond your control, what Luca and his family have endured no family should have to suffer and although we cannot change events in the past we can assist to ease the future

So please if you are able to donate please support us to support Luca and his amazing family in raising as much money as we can

Great session in the pool tonight

Wasn't sure after my run this morning and after a week of bootcamp how being back in the pool would go this evening but really shocked managed 2000m/80 lengths so really chuffed with that.
If you are following our training and just giving For Luca I just want to say how overwhelmed we all are by your support.  Our original target was to raise £1500.00 this morning we hit that and now we intend on smashing the target to pieces.  We have one month left before the big day so we are hoping to raise as much as we can for one very special little boy.

Off to boot camp !!!

Fundraising is going well we are now over one third of our target hooray !!!
I have signed up for a one month boot camp to get fitter before the big day first night tonight not sure I looking forward to it I will keep you posted how I get on.
